Protect Your Smile for Life
At Peace Love Braces, we understand that life happens. Sometimes retainers get lost, thrown away, chewed by the dog, or misplaced during travel. Insurance typically does not cover replacement retainers. That’s why we created the Smile Protection Program — a simple and affordable way to protect your investment and keep your smile at its best.
At the completion of treatment, Dr. Khor provides patients with a pair of clear Essix retainers and strongly recommends wearing them nightly for life. Research shows that teeth shift throughout life without consistent retainer wear. Retainer use is essential to maintaining proper alignment and preserving the results of orthodontic treatment.
Even after treatment, teeth can naturally shift over time. Wearing and maintaining your retainers is the best way to protect your smile.

Second set of clear Essix retainers once treatment is
finished ($470 value)
Up to four replacement Essix retainers per year for a small lab fee of $25 per retainer
Major Savings vs. the regular replacement fee of $235 per retainer or $470 per set of retainers.
Peace of mind in knowing your smile is protected
You may sign up for the Smile Protection Program at any time BEFORE you complete your orthodontic treatment at a cost of $700.
If you’re just starting orthodontic treatment, you may choose to include the $700 cost into your initial contract fee to spread the payments out over time.
If you decide to participate AFTER your treatment is completed, the cost to participate is $850 (or higher as the program cost could increase over time).
Adding the Smile Protection Program to your payment plan may only be a small monthly difference depending on contract length. For some people, that might be as low as $24/month.

Program applies only to removable clear Essix retainers
Bonded and Hawley retainers are not included
Replacement retainers beyond four per year will be charged at the current replacement fee
This program applies to the position of the teeth at the time replacement retainers are made
If retainers are lost, broken, or damaged, it is extremely important to contact the office as soon as possible.
If tooth movement occurs before replacement retainers are made, new retainers will only hold teeth in place and will not realign them.
If teeth require realignment, this is considered retreatment and retreatment charges will apply
If retreatment is completed, new retainers will be provided and participation in the Smile Protection Program continues at no additional cost
The Smile Protection Program is valid for 10 years, beginning on the date orthodontic treatment is completed or the date of enrollment for patients who have already finished treatment.
Participants of the program are not eligible for refunds once the program is started.
